The profile is your instructor record. You can leave it half-done and keep building your course: the pending fields are only required when you submit the proposal.
Open it with Complete profile in your instructor space, or at /become-a-teacher/profile.

Saving
Section titled “Saving”Save and exit keeps what you wrote and returns you to your space. Go to my course takes you to the course form. Either way saving is automatic: nothing is lost if you close the tab.
If you had a profile before
Section titled “If you had a profile before”When we verify your GitHub account we may find an earlier profile of yours. If so, we ask you before linking anything:
- Which profile data you want to keep using — the current one or the earlier one.
- Which course draft to continue with, if there are two.
The contents are not merged automatically. We keep a downloadable copy of both profiles and both drafts, and whichever draft you pick stays available in the editor. You can press Download both versions before deciding, and Review the data again or Cancel recovery if you're unsure.
